hi there
im kind of new
anyhow i know other reptiles sumtime need vitamin supplement
such as the beaded dragon need sumfin that you can get from cricket
anyhow i was wondering if snakes need anything else besides from the mice or rat food stuff
should we add anything else to give it a bitter bone colour etcc...???

what sort of fish are piscivorous species?
and whats the technique for feeding a snake fish? just put them in a bowl in the tank or?

No, piscivorous is the term given to something that habitually feeds on fish.
As far as feeding a snake a fish , you can just use long forceps and hold the fish by the tail

A piscivorous animal is one that eats fish, I was referring to piscivorous reptiles - Keelbacks, File Snakes and Green Tree Snakes. I've never kept any but I'm told just putting them in a bowl of water is all that's needed.

oh.. I thought that mice and other food stuffs had to be dusted with vitamins and minerals every now and then for snakes as well....
so...snakes DONT need extra supplement? Or is it assumed that feeding animals are fed the correct supplements?

There is enough calcium in adult rodents etc. that are fed to the snakes.
But I do know a bloke that injects a liquid into his rodents for his Diamonds.

feed your rats a healthy balanced diet and the benefits flow through, so to speak. snakes also get the gut contents of their prey items.
