I would leave the heat on 24/7 at that age and introduce night temp drops after 1 or 2 years

Have it in a tub, with half the tub sitting on a low wattage heat mat. Have the tub somewhere cool. Turn the mat off overnight. Over winter i still turn the heating off overnight for hatchlings except for when they have just fed. When they've fed i'll give them heat over 2 nights to help them digest the food.

ok thankyou for that information would it affect the diamond if i was to keep it on 24 hour temp untill it was 1 year old. The hot end of the cage is around 29-30 Oc and the cold 23-25 Oc is that good. The floor temperture is hotter at about 33 Oc because i am using a heat mat.

i am no power feeder and grow snakes reasonably slowly...i would feed your diamond a velvet a fortnight to keep it healthy or one per week to get it to size fast then as big a mouse as it can handle as it gets bigger then pinky rats and so forth. Rats make diamonds grow like weeds.
Some feed a pinky a week then two pinkies the next week, some feed every time they poop ( not a bad plan)
hope this helps
