A snake soaking in its water bowl is not normally something to worry about. Although they often do it when they are too hot or are irritated by a mite infestation. Does your snake seem in any distress to be? Are the temps in the cage ok - everything functioning well including thermostat? Does the snake have mites, are there any in the water bowl?
Has the snake eaten recently - this is another reason they may decide to take a dip in their water bowl?

I need to check the thermostat as i did fell pretty warm in there..
I have bought him out in the bowl and his body has cooled a little however he is still very lethargic i touch him and he doesn't flinch.
I purchased mice for his first feed in three months three days ago and they were a different brand from the usual place.Pisces labratory feeders; was the brand and they were not as healthy looking as the ones they use to sell me {doliitle farms ] i think..
I will take him to Crows Nest later today.

I had a carpet python who used to soak like that every time he was due to shed. I never knew wether this was just a behaviour or a moisturing act.

Sorry i left that out.I do have a two thermometers one at each end of the cage...
He is doing a little better now but not 100% and to tell you the truth i think his food may have been off.
My pet shop has started keeping a new brand {pisces lab feeders} and they assured me all was good but hey just don't look or feel anywhere near as good as the doolitle farms stuff.
I am leaving work early and taking him to David Vella my local herp vet .
We don't want to take any risks with the big fella ...

You say the cage and therefore snake was warm and you had a thermometers in there what where the temps?
Without knowing any more it sounds like your enclosure is simply too hot.
I hope you have the power turned off to the heating or you may cook your snake.

There is nothing wrong with pisces mice and rats. They just look funny because they are smooshed together .
If his food was off he probably would have regurgitated it. It just sounds like he is too hot or you are too paranoid.
