Hey guys!
My Childreni Sid shed today and I noticed his scars he has show up a lot more now?
He has about 3 small ones and this larger one, i don't know how it happened to him as they were there when I got him.
The shed skin shows his normal scales and where the scars are it's tiny scales, hard to describe, sorry.
I was wondering if he will be ok in the future?
I have added a pic and you can see the scar on his body on the left of where his head is, Hope I explained it ok.
To look at him it just looks like there are no scales at all where the scars are.
Any way! Thanks for any help in this matter,
Kerri

No, as I said, they were there before I got him, it's just really strange.
I have had all my snakes on the fake grass with no problems.

No one got an idea?
Someone mentioned a light burn but as far as I know he has been in a click clack all his life, which isn't long.

Yes a light burn would be the most obvious when relating tom scars i would think. It just looks like he has missed a couple of pieces of skin when he has shed.

Yeh, still heaps of unshed skin on that snake, inc. over the scar. He will be fine though.

I agree with Camo and JasonL. Looks like an incomplete shed.

Reptile wounds generally heal as irregular sized scales, as long as all wounds are covered there should not be any problems. Most older wild pythons have numerous battle scars.

Hmmm then maybe a vet if you want to be sure about the problem.

I can't really see what your talking about...but I thought with snakes and scars they faded after several sheds.
