hey im building an encloser for my mate for a school project in wood work and i was just wondering what do people use to for their doors. i was thinking making a sliding door for it but i dont really know how to make it so i was thinking hinges and make the tope lift of but its a big incloser so i dont really know what to do. so could anyone please give me some advice and pics of how they made theres.

i have made mine sliding glass doors in the past but also used hinged doors on the sides or front.

all i did to make doors on my enclosures was get a piece of 16mm mdf board or you could use a timber frame then cut out a square / rectagle 20mm less in length and height so the glass overhangs the cut out 10mm each side then using a plunge router rebate this 11mm by 4mm deep so the glass sits inside rebate then silicone glass in leave a day then on whatever side you pice use a piano hing to swing door on, this sounds alot harder than it actually was.  hope this helps if needed print this out and ask your teacher what i am on about

I do mine like bitey's, easy and gives full access unlike sliders.

my god im makin an enclosure for wood work as well, it will be done in three weeks then i get to put something in it. yay. im makin a stand for it aswell to match it.

for slinding doors go and buy track for the glaas to run in then get glass cut to fit your local glass man/ women will fix you up, they also should stock locks for sliding glass doors
