Herping Port Douglas FNQ

Hi all,
On my trip to Port I did a far bit of herping. So I thought I share some pics.
This group of photos was taken at the Mowbray river about 5 minutes south of Port.
Pics 1 & 2/ The 3 meter croc that lives under the Mowbray river bridge, 3/ A carcess wedged on a branch at low tide, about 100 meters down river from the croc. 4 & 5/ A Slaty Grey that the local snake catcher relised while I was there (right place right time)

Nah Scorps, Didnt come across any Pythons this trip. Although I will be heading back up in November. The build up to the wet is better for everything, from herping to fishing.
I do have a couple of other threads going with a heap of snake pics, check out my FNQ Zoo review threads, part one & two.
Cheers Andy.

We should head up to the Daintree when you come back up for night walks with the dolphin torch, will find some big ones for sure...they love the warm dirt roads after dusk...makes it easy
