Housing DP's outside in Melb.

Just wondering if anyone has any experience with housing Diamonds outside in Melbourne.

i dont but i would say it should be fine as long as you give it some artificial heat as well

I know people who do it without supplemental heat. The snakes seem happy. Sydney Diamonds would probably go better than northern Diamonds, southern Diamonds would certainly be perfectly at home, but I'm not sure if anyone keeps them, especially with locality data intact.

i havent personally , but the best diamond breeder in melbourne keeps his out doors and has done so for years, artificial heat is not a must as long as you have a water proof enviroment with ample hollow logs or hides. you have to remember that some species like diamonds, murray darlings and coastals have a fairly similar climate to melbourne in the wild.i have been told by alot of top breeders that these species do very well outdoors through out the year.im only going by the information i have been told and will be giving it a go myself this year.

Thanks for the replies.
I was thinking of having about 1/3 of the enclosure completely enclosed and insulated with a variety of heated hide boxes inside.
Next project fo the new year

Thanks
