How...

Can I convince my mum to let me get a Bredli?

She said I have to wait until I move out... But I Can't!

I was lucky as my mum likes snakes ... little ones.. So a carpet isn't on her list.

Try talking her into letting you get a smaller snake, like one of the Children's group (Children's, Stimson's or Spotted) as they are fairly placid, hardy and easy to keep. Take her to a pet shop to look at and handle the snakes with you, try and get her involved.

What is it she doesn't like about the idea?

Thanks, She doesn't like that they eat mice... They are scaly... They have no legs... They have beady eyes... They have teeth... and everything else!

She wont even look at my brothers diamond python and thats only about 4 foot (He moved out).

Yeah that was like dad. Just make sure she knows YOU will be feeding it and touching it. She won't have to touch/see mice etc,

Best bet is to just ask her to face her fear and go down to a petshop and ask to see a hatchie. My parents loved them because they're so cute, and they're harmless. Get her to touch and hold a small snake, and maybe make the compromise of buying a Children's instead of a Bredli? Just suggestions.

Think maybe moving out will be in a few years, by age, right?

Brucey when you said URS had coastal hacthies - which state were you referring to?

I think you should just tell her that she doesn't have to touch them or feed them or anything like that?? Maybe keep it in your room so she doesn't even have to look at it

Yeah, sorry I thought I said. In a different thread you mentioned coastals being avaliable from ultimate reptile supplies or something similair.. and because you're located in Qld, I was just wondering whereabouts you meant
