Hi im still new to the herp world, but I am wanting to find out how big adult, spotteds, stimmys, maccies, or any of the related family gets. I already have a 3 yr old childerens which is approx 80cm.
Also what sort of dollars could you expect to pay for an adult pair(obviosly for breeding).
Also if i got a adult female for our one can you put them in the same enclosure without a gradual intro?

G'day phatt,
Most of the Antaresia get to about a metre, with Spotteds (A.maculosa) sometimes reaching 1.5 metres and bigger, but that's pretty rare.
An adult pair of basic Childrens will cost around $500, a bit more for Spotteds and normally more again for Stimsons. Spotted throw bigger clutches, but Stimsons sell better.
It is best to keep them seperated until breeding time. Keeping them seperated stops them from eating each other, and also increases your chances of getting viable matings when you do introduce them. When you introduce them for mating purposes, you don't need to do anything special - just put the boy in. Keep an eye on them for the first hour or so to make sure that one of them doesn't want to eat the other instead of mate with it.
Cheers

Hi jonno,
is that literal, when you say 'eat each other'?

G'day phatt,
It's very literal. All species of snakes have the ability to be cannibalistic.
