My python is about a year old appox. 150cm long. her head is 3 cm in length. I feed her 2 medium size adult mice every 5-6 days. is this enough or should i feed her something bigger or more?

I would suggest that two adult mice is too small a size for a five foot diamond python's meal.

You should always try to stick with dead food.

I've noticed that if the meal is to small the snake will try to swallow it backwards or even sideways. If i up the size of the next meal they will go back to swallowing it head first.
I have 2 ccoastle carpets and a childrens python and they have all done this a couple of times, and every time i up the meal size they go head first.
just an observation
