if you take it slowly, and only handle her a few times a week, for only 5 mins or so, she will eventually get used to the idea you aren't going to eat her, and hopefully calm down a bit.

And not to hold it for at least 48 hours after feeding as well. Make it a pleasurable experience as possible for the snake.

Depends on a number of factors but generally males get to about two and a half meters while females can get to three and a half meters. Animals from sout hern queensland tend to be the biggest growers.
And congradulations on your new pet

There was an article in Herpetofauna a few years back about a NSW coastal, measuring just over 3 metres and weighing in at 22kg. Apparently the third heaviest wild python recorded in Australia.

Haydz, I had a python that was th emeanest thing in th wworld (in fact I still have her). But I worked out that she wasn't really mean. I fed her in her enclosure and oftwn would hand feed her when she was young. she just got used to associating my hand with food. She now gets taken out of her enclosure and put on the ground where her food is. She hasn't struck at me for ages. Admittedly, I rarely handled her so most of our interaction was food related so regular handling may change that. Just a thought.
