Hi, well out of my two hatchie coastals 1 has shed and I managed to get him to eat his first pinky today , on the other hand my other hatchie hasn't even shed yet and dosn't look like he's going to either as he's eye's havn't even clouded up yet. He would be going on 3 weeks old (should I be worried or can this be normal) if it's normal how long should I wait, and if it's not what should I do?
Also to get the other hatchie to eat I have been trying for a while (with no luck because he wasn't even interested in the smell of it), so today I offered him a skink (I know I know bad) but he was very interested in it. As soon as he struck at it I waited for him to let go and to take his first bite, as soon as he did I put the pinkie's head there instead (which he took no worries). With his next bite I removed the head of the skink so I'm hoping now he's got a taste for the pinkie he'll eat it next time he's offered it.

I have a hatchling coastal that is 6 weeks old and hasn't shed yet, but suprisingly it was the first one to start feeding.
This is the second time i've had a hatchling not shed at the same time as the rest of the clutch. Just be patient and eventually it will.
You'll know whether it does need to shed but has a stuck skin because the skin will be dry to the touch, with wrinkly creases. If this doesn't happen then i doubt there's a problem.

Also can you feed them before they shed, as I thought that you had to wait (but I'm still learning ). He's skin looks moist but it does have creases in it but I don't think it's stuck.

I wont' try and feed it yet unless it looks keen. Thanks heaps for the help serpenttongue.
