I've had the addiction for almost two years now and just picked up my seventeenth carpet python yesterday. Far from the last, no doubt.

I have a pair of recently aquired baby jungles who are wicked and hateful, but I will work with them and have them calmed down in short order.
I handle my snakes quite regularly, for my own enjoyment, but it's also a calculated effort to keep them tame.
Dealing with large adults is much easier when they aren't wild and mean. IMO it is well worth the effort to work with them a bit while they are young.

Although one did have bubbles blowing out of its nose, but I think that is from the dishwashing suds in the water bowl so it doesn't get dirty.
