| Jungles have a "skull" pattern on the top of there head. Once you see it, you will know what I mean. That is probably the easiest was to tell a Jungle from a Coastal.
Browns or Jungleinc may be able to give you a more detailed answer.

In other species including humans a destinction base on this kind of morphology would be described as different races.
IMHO carpet sub groups are probably best described by the locality of their ancestry. To a certain extent this already happens with terms such as "Proserpine", "Atherton" etc. in fairly common use.
