Hey guys, have fallen in love with the Hypo Bredli's - hoping to get a hatchie or juvenile around September. Any ideas where I might be able to get one at that time?
I have already tried URS - they said to check back as the stock list is updated whenever something comes in.
Also checked with PFS, they said I will need to check back closer to the date as theirs may all be sold by then. Does this mean their current stock is all they will have for the remainder of the year? I'm guessing by what they said there are probably no further babies planned for the next couple months?
Southern Cross hypos are stunning but I'm not prepared to go on the 2-yr waiting list
Any advice would be appreciated |

i think they generally hatch around january,....so i'd say thats all they'll have fro the year (not 100% sure on that so correct me if i'm wrong someone,..)
you might be able to find a 'second hand' one thru herptrader if u keep an eye out, i''ve been hassling people that are trying to breed this season to let me know when the females gravid and i'll send a deposit.
yeah, i'd love one of the southern X ones,...but waiting 2 years is a bit of an ask,...
wont anyone put u on a waiting list fro next seasons hatchys?

PFS wont have any more hypos till more hatch....meaning next season- so your best shot is to buy one NOW (they are aparently selling very well) or wait till early next year (jan-april)

Thanks for the info. I guess I picked a bad time, huh? I'd love to get one of this seasons babies now but I'm going overseas in August and won't be around to care for the little blighter. That's why I wanted to get something in September, when I get back. Don't really want to wait until next season though

Is two weeks between feeds too long for a young Bredli? I'm going to be overseas for two weeks in August but I don't think I'd be able to leave the python alone for that long. Anyone know of a good snake-sitting service? |

become friends with a snake person on the forum and i'm sure they'd snake sit fro you!
2 weeks isint too long between feeds as a 1 off,...but you'd need someone to change the water every few days and change a heat light incase it blows,....

2 weeks is fine, not just as a one off you could have that as its feed schedule, the general rule is dont feed for 10days before you leave and keep full heat on day/night so it digests and poops its food out and i think i have heard to turn heating down while your away and then you should have no probs.

Maybe someone should start a Snake Sitting Service
That's my major dilemma, if I got one of this season's hatchies I'd need to organise something for those two weeks I am overseas. I really don't want to wait until next breeding season! |

there are heaps of people in bris who would keep an eye on your snake for you. i'm further south near yatala and would happily look after your bredli, but it may come back resembling a plastic snake just kidding.

Anyone know of a good snake-sitting service? | I left my lot for a two week holiday recently. I gave them a last feed two weeks before we left, so they didn't have anything for four weeks. I made sure they had enough water. They were all fine when we got back.
