A story with a happy ending,, the best kind... Glad you found him...

A long time ago OK a really long time ago lol when I was still living with my folks I lost a 6 foot BCI(Boa) this boy was missing for over a month. I was worried he might have gotten out of the house and died(was winter in Montana) or that he would pop up and be found by my mother who was terrified of snakes..

Came home one night and luckily found him coiled up in front of the toilet in the bathroom.. Good thing I found him as my mother was always the first up in the morning and the thought of what could of happened if she found him!! Everyone in house awakened by blood curdling scream, mom having heart failure ETC ETC LOL,, Randy

Smile Lost and Found

It is great you found your snake, i know just how you would have felt. I was taking my snake to the vet to get a lump checked out and the person travelling with me decided it would be a good idea to open the container and check on her. Of course the silly twit did not seal her container properly and she got lose in the car. After going home and stripping the car litterally ( we pulled out carpet the dash board ) and a hell of alot of other stuff but to no avail. I was so angry.

3 weeks later I was cleaning out the station wagon so i could load it up with Chrissie presents when I came across a empty crunched up coke can, that was much heavier than a empty coke can should be. Upon close inspection we discovered the source of the extra weight was my beautiful little girl. After a very delicate operation to remove her from the can and a close examination all we found was that she was very sticky and a little hungry. Lucky snake. If I had not stopped to check the can she would have gone straight in the bin.

I think every herper has to go through a lost pet before they become paranoid and seal everything up.
Glad you found your pet.

Hopefully reading all these stories will make some of us paranoid without having to go through it first...
