Thanks Slatey! I think Clarice is beautiful, the colour is pretty close, she is more greeny than browny, and has a lot of shine under lights and even more in the sun, but she's quite a bit bigger now. Then again, I probably wouldn't care if she turned out tartan - I'd still think she was beautiful.

Clarice is one of Paul's beautiful babies, he'll remember my constant nagging about "how does my egg look?" "has she hatched yet" - I doted on her before she was born LOL. Poor Paul... he was so good to put up with all my bothering him, and even phoned me when they were hatching - Dec 28th at 10:30 (I'll never forget)... anyway I'm blathering on way too much, what you really wanted to know... $400

Very awsome snake nic, olives are excellent snakes one thing i have noticed is they seem to get darker with age can anyone else clarify that.Price wise i have seen them as low as $150 for problem hatchies but usually round the $300 mark.

I just LOVE THE GLOVE!!!!!!!!

She was fiesty when I first got her, but she has settled pretty nicely too now Popp.

At night when you open up the enclosure and hold out your hand she will actually come to you which is sooo cute, my other girls never do that.
She still seems to know hwen there are extra people or strangers in the house though - weird.

Yeah, you'd think an Olive python would be kinda green wouldn't ya? Not that brown that most of them seem to be.

Brown

Well my male is more brown. Must have taken after the dad's side of the family I guess.

And Nicole, mine does the same thing. Open the cage door, and out he comes, right up the arm! Very cute!

Isn't it great when they do that David - It gets me every time!
I guess you guys can tell, I'm absolutely smitten! (I just love them - Go for it Brendan, you will too! )

Paul, with her Mum being quite green, and her Dad being more brown, does this mean that are there different forms of Olives? I thought they just changed colour through different times of the year? Are they location based forms like with Maccies etc?
Have you ever tried to breed to preserve either more green or more brown colourations? Again, Clarice is loved even if she turns out pola-dotted, but I'm curious now...

One more question, would more or less UV affect their colouration like I have heard can affect some Bredlis??
(Not sure if that is true even for Bredlis, just something I have heard)
