I need some advice on my snake

I got a baby carpet python just over a week ago, I fed him and he passed it thru in about.... 2 or 3 days? then I fed him again on tuesday and the next day he had passed the mouse. I just want to know do I need to take him to the vet? or is it normal for snakes? I read it took a few days for them to digest. I just want some advice it would be most appreciated =-)
Thanks.

There can be varying factors. Perhaps the temperature was higher this time than it was the last. Perhaps the mouse was smaller. How did you know the snake had completely digested the food? Just the bump was gone? That certainly doesn't mean the entire process is over.

How long was the time between feeds?

Can anyone can tell me whether or not they think stress is a factor of digestion? It doesn't sound like the snake had a time to settle in. You don't need to panic, the majority of snakes are resilient.

Ummm... I think the mice were all around the same size. well I just imagened it had digested fully because the snake went to the dunny. And I feed him once a week. I just paniced because I read it usually takes a few days for the snake to go to the dunny afterr a feed. But the temperature may have been higher as I just have the click clack and the heat mat. Thanks for that one mate.

Just because the snake decafated doesn't mean that it had digested the meal. My snake does so a few times before she's finished. What's the temperature on the heat mat and how much of the click clack is it under?

And also, how old and large is the snake?

I put half the mat underthe click clack. Ahh good I just heard they did their business once after being fed, a mate told me that one. My snakes about... 4 months old. I really panicked because I thought he was sick (its my first snake as you can probably tell)

Yeah, that's fine. I'm sure the majority of reptile owners have panicked one time or another over their first. What size is he? And what kind of carpet?

Lol. I don't actually own a carpet, but my spotted was well and truely on rats when she was that size. Perhaps you should upgrade; rats have much more nutrients than rats.
