Over the past couple of weeks my husband and neighbour have been seeing a few snakes around our properties.
Is there a site where you can go that will show you pic's of snakes and how to identify them.
I am in queensland. My husband wants to kill them. It they are not venomus they can stay where they are, if they are venomus i will ring up the right people to move them to the bush.
Thanks

Was just trying to look for the correct figure but from memory. 95% of all snake bites are attributed to people that are trying to kill or capture the snake.
The best thing to do would be to have a look google etc, australian snakes.
there is no hard and fast ways, just keep your distance from all snakes.

D | I've told my hubby to just leave them alone. I would prefer to find out what kind of snakes are sharing our yard as i have 4 children to think about. Hopefully they are not venomus. But i will do all the right things if they are venomus (call the experts). |

The snakecatcher.com site also has a list of catchers in Queensland. It may not include everyone but there's a fair few of them there and if your area isn't on the list then QPWS may be able to help you find someone who is.
