Info on Darwin Pythons

I am looking at getting a darwin python and have been told that they are snappy but havent found any other opinions to compare. Can anyone inform me more about this breed?

As youngsters they are mostly PURE EVIL, but as adults they appear to settle abit.

RE: Info on Darwin Pythons

I have an adult pair they are awesome snakes ! both great handlers .
I dont think they deserve the bad rep they get !
I bought them as adults so i cannot comment on them as hatchies ,But there true beauty more then makes up for it .

Have a look in my gallery and you will see that mine are tame enough for my kids to handle and my male is over 6ft long.

RE: Info on Darwin Pythons

i dont think they deserve this reputation as most being aggressive, i got mine as a hatchling a year ago and has never attempted to bite me(atleast until 2 weeks ago, but only around feedin time)

RE: Info on Darwin Pythons

hi,
i'm going to have a look at 9 hatchlings next week, the owner told me they are very friendly and haven't struck at her, so i guess i'll find out next week, but after know her for over 12 months i know when i get there that they will be just as she said,

cheers,

RE: Info on Darwin Pythons

Of course he would, the little honey makes holes in his hand then thinks, "Oh! I shouldn't have done that", and proceeds to try and fill them in

Pythons have small brains, I don't think even Darwins are very bright
