Info please

Hi all. Was down Goulburn way last weekend and chased a large brown snake of the road (with a stick) Looked like a taipan but not sure if they go down that far. Can we have a guess what it would have been. Goldy brown, large scales, at least 5/6 ft and had the "eyebrow' like a Taipan has. Sorry had a camera but forgot Arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Eastern Brown; Taipans stop up near the QLD border i believe.

If it looked like this then it definately was an Eastern Brown.
