RE: Introducing my snakes

I have 5 enclosures, I have made all but one, I usually find or buy old tv/video stands or small wardrobes and convert them. Building the enclosure yourself is half the fun.

Got that right, nice snakes too. You must have spent a fair few dollars in four months for that little collection.

RE: Introducing my snakes

I spent the money I had from selling my cichlids. I was going to get Jungle Python as I like them but I have heard they are very snappy and I dont have any experience with snappy snake yet. All my snakes are very docile so I havent experienced any bite yet. I dont know if I want one. Does it hurt?

Lucky you have large placid snakes and not large snappy ones. Big ones do tend to hurt a bit, all depending on how hard you get bit.

I thought BHP, proserphine and stimmie usually placid. Is that right?
I read that darwin can be very snappy too. But my darwin seems to be placid.

Does snappy snake comes from their typical nature of their species or depend on how they get handle when they are young? If I get hathcling snappy snake like water python will they be snappy all their live or will change if I handle them a lot?

Thanks pugsly. I like to make the enclosure with lot of branches so I can see them climbing up and down. Even my BHP like hanging on the branch
