Here's some pics from 2 weekends ago, our 6 month old Bredli (from the Busteeds Bredli Breedarium) decided to get his shed on with a couple of onlookers. It was his first shed with me (and my first herp shed ever) so it was a bit nerve wracking watching him rub his nose on everything, and the bottom jaw took ages, but it allowed me to shoot almost 200 photos, so here's some highlights for your viewing pleasure:
Camera is a Pentax *ist DS. Python is modelled by Rachel and Julie Towards the end there he decided he was a frill necked lizard, and I managed to get plenty of yawn pictures. He yawns quite a lot, it's incredibly cute.
I've had him for about 3 weeks now and he seems to be settling in very well. I got tagged within 2 hours of picking him up, then twice a week later when I hadn't noticed that his eyes were clouded, but since then he's become very relaxed and placid and seems to almost refuse to strike. His first feed he struck and constricted 2 pinkie rats, second time he took one but left the other, most recently he just completely refused to strike, preferring to run away even when I was prodding him with the rat, he took it when I left it with him.
Seems very happy despite my overenthusiasm and inexperience and he now spends plenty of time sitting on top of his hides and explores wherever he's allowed to go. I just picked up a (beautifully constructed) 1200x600x600 enclosure from JungleRob tonight though , so we'll see how he goes in that, after I've spent some time wiring it up and making plenty of hiding spaces for him.

Thanks Jessop. It was the first time I've really had him outside with enough light to take decent photos, so I'm pretty happy with how they came out.
There will be plenty more believe me, I've actually just had the camera's shot counter tick over from 9999 to 0000 |
