Sad as this sounds – I heard (From parent of girl) a vet describe the same to a client.

Snake stopped eating
Snake started to sleep stretched out instead of curled up

Vet told owner the snake was getting ready to eat her and that she should get rid of the snake. I think she sold her much loved snake.

Stupid urban myth. Have already had 5 different people at various presntations try to spin it off on me or tried sparking a debate. All had heard it from a friend of a friend that it happened to.
Would make a good episode of myth busters.

PLEASE tell me you are joking

This story (and variations of it) have been doing the rounds for a long time, and you'd have to be pretty gullible to believe it.

I'd like to see a wild python try to cuddle up to it's prey before eating it!

lol i can tell you a true story about a friend of mine.
she told me yesterday lol

She lived in south africa and she had a python (dont know what) it was about 6ft. anyway she said it used to sleep in her bed with her. it curled up next to her to get warm.

i thought that was crazy

her and her brother caught/ rescued a 6 or 7m rock python and had no where to put it. so her brother put it in his room till they made the cage. the hard part was getting it out. it took out the whole curtain, rods and all. they had to let it go because it tried to bit at them all the time and was scraping up its nose on the chicken wire. she said it was the most beautiful snake she had ever seen

anyway thats my story
