Just looking at some photo's from yesterday's excursion outside....
we think Mikey might be shedding...what do you guys think? The reason we think so is those eyes are looking a little milky, at least from our Newbs perspective, but you guys will know better.....

they do look a bit glassy, but hey im no proffesional, ive probly got less knowledge than you, i dont even own snakes but i know as much as when their shedding there eyes go like that, and is it really important to know if they are shedding or you just wanna know, i heard their more edgy because they cant see well, ?? dunno.... looks like it is..

Hard to tell from that pic. Being so young they shed alot more then older snakes.

Its eyes don't have the milky look to them. The colour over all on the snake looks very dark, could be a few days from shedding.

Thanks craig....
Our little girl, is still not showing any signs of shedding just yet...however when we got her on saturday, the breeder said she would shed within the next 24 hours......last night she was extremely animated, moving around all over the place for hours...it seemes she was looking for something to rub against, but its quite smooth in her click clack, and today she is happy to be exposed (ie not in hide), down the cooler end of her box....we cant see any signs of her skin peeling back yet, so is there anyway we can help her to get started?..from what we can see she is definitely showing the signs of confusion, which of course is natural, i was thinking maybe if we drop a coupla drops of warmish water in her water bowl, will the slight change in humidity help her to get started?
so a coupla questions...
Will she be able to find the warm end even though she is coming up on shed?
Is there anything we can do to help her get started? Ive heard a bath may help, but if so, what temp and what set-up?
At which point should we start to worry about her not shedding?
Sorry for all the questions, we are not stressing, but because of our limited experience we just wanna learn as much as we can so that when Mikey starts to shed we can observe from a distance without feeling as though we need to interfere some how with his natural processes...
cheers

Tone, don't panic.
She will start the process herself when she is ready. She may hold back on the shed until she feels a little more comfortable. I had one wait 4 weeks from the milky stage when she moved house.
Stick a clean rock or little branch in there, one you have boiled and sterilised and leave her to it. You can mist the warm end a little if you like, just a light fog on the plastic, but don't let it stay wet for days.
She will move around the cage to where she is comfortable, shed or no shed.

Put something in the enclosure eg. branch or rock for the snake to rub agaianst to help it shed. You snake will be able to find the warm end of the enclosure even while shedding. You don't need to worry about giving the snake a bath unless some of the old skin gets stuck.
