Congrats Mell, very excited for you.

By looking at that last pic of her, there would have to be at least 30 eggs. Let us know when you get a chance to count them all, and have fun getting her off them...he he

Thanks guys.... "Uncle Bung" will have no problems getting one put aside

Checked in on mum n the kids this morning and all are doing well so far... just a little concerned she may not be able to fit over her huge clutch though..... there are a few not completely under her!

We'll see how things go.

Thanks so much for everyone's support over last night... I know people breed snakes all the time but this waas my first nerve-wrecking time and it was great to have that support behind me... even at 3am!!!

THANK YOU!!

I know how excited you must be. I had a clutch of unexpected Beardie eggs. I was running around the house, yelling oh my god, beardie eggs...what the heck do I do. Straight on here to look it up. They are all cooking in my home made incubator. Then another 10 pop out the other day, so 20 cooking in the incubator. Very exciting
Are you letting the mum incubate?
Congrats
Andrea

Thanks Andrea, yes I was "quietly" running around the house like a mad woman (my brother was asleep and had to get up early, hence the quietly)... well it was more pacing and hyperventilating hahaha!!

Yes mumma is incubating them herself although we have now decided that the ones not under her we will incubate ourselve in a knock up incubator!! hehehe we are using one of the other snake enclosures....

Thanks for your help and advice Steve (aka Ponybug) you have kept me grounded and sane throughout the last 24hrs!!

Ok well when I came home from work there was around 10 eggs she couldn't fit under her....

So we left her for a little while and when we came back she'd moved them under her and we only ended up taking 8 of the eggs. We took one slug as well and we could see another one uhder her so that's 10 eggs and she's sitting on a heap....
Oh god I'm not sure I'm ready for this hehehehe!!

Anyway here are some pics of the eggs we took and also a slug!

Infertile egg
Normally small, yellow and a weird shape. They also tend not to stick to the other eggs.
