I don't really support x's however I own a Jungle x Coastal. I bought it cause of its appearance. It has the markings like a Coastal with a caramel / yellow background. It is a very placid animal. I have childrenii more feral than this fellow. The mother was a Coastal. I've classified it as a Coastal. So I would say it depends on what the mother is and it over all appearance. But hey I'm a collector and avid admirer not a breeder

I wanna find out if the snake i got off him is a pure Jungle, as it is dark for a jungle. And it was sold to me as a straight jungle.

Hang on in your first post you said the carpet was sold to your friend as a jungle cross, and you're assuming it's a pure jungle?????And your last post says it was sold to you as a pure jungle,i'm a little confused
Jungle hatchlings don't come out black and bright gold or yellow and usually look a dull black and silver colour. They usually don't start showing signs of colouring from 3-12 mths depending on the lineage and some never colour up at all. That's one of the many reasons people love jungles as you just never know what you might get....you can pay top dollar and still end up with a fugly jungle!!!

Browns
my friend was sold a snake at the begining of this year as a jungle cross carpet python, (not sure what is written on the books)
I bought my Jungle carpet python 3 years ago.
i hope this makes some sense.

Yeah sorry mate, thought you might've been talking about 2 different snakes.Yours looks jungle to me...did it ever colour up or has it always been pretty much that colour? If you bought it as a pure jungle and got it from a reputable breeder i would take their word for it,but just goes to show many people out there either have doubts on wether their snake is the type it's supposed to be or have no idea at all what they have wether it's from lack of info from the breeder etc......

I think, if thats your setup, you should cover that bulb with a cage or you'll end up with a badly burnt snake !!
