Jungle Prices

It seems in recent times Jungle prices have dropped. When I first started looking they were anywhere between $600 to $1000. I have now seen them as low as $350, I know colour and pattern make a different to prices but some of the cheaper ones are awesome lookers. Is there any reason for this??

some people have trouble selling snakes and think that they can get them all gone by putting down the prices and there are alot more of them so there is no supply shortage so then they need to get them selfs noticed and drop the prices thats thats just my opinion

yer i have noticed that the location of the breeder plays a bit of a role in prices, its harder to sell when your located hours from anywhere. as for the price variation, its all about the quality of the line. some people think some animals lok nice and will get a pair for 400 each. others (me included) rather get stunners rather then nice and will pay more for the animals.

As you said mate, colour and pattern is one of the main factors when pricing Jungles. Locality also comes into it for some. Top of the line Jungles will still pull upto $900 per hatchling. The trouble with Jungles is that they don't show their true potential straight out of the egg. People have been robbed due to alot of 'breeders' palming off average Athertons as Black and Gold, smudge free, locale specific, top of the line, bla bla bla Palmerston Jungles. It seems everyone has B/G Jungles available these days.......

Anyways, my rant asside. Colour, pattern and locale set the price. And after all, 'Jungle' is such a broard term.....The first two pics posted are Jungles from the exact same clutch, the second two are male and female Palmerston Jungles. Pattern asside, the first animals colours warrent a more realistic price range, the second could go as a $600 hatchling. Offspring from the last two go for around $550. As with everything, prices are set by demand and the thoughts of the breeder towards what a buyer would pay. We price to match what we would pay.

While I'm on the rant wagon, some advice to any soon to be Jungle buyers. As hatchling 'jungles' don't always show true to their future colour you can only take the sellers word on what qualities may show when they mature. Ask to see pics of the parents. Even better would be to buy from a reputable Jungle breeder such as the Stocks, Roger, Nev or the many other trusted keepers on this site. (sorry, couldn't fit you all in).

Well, that's my rant for the month....

jungle prices

Well I will hold on to my Jungle hatchies for about 10 months then price them.
It will admit it was very difficult to purchase good Jungles in Brisbane about 4 years ago. I looked local and could not find the quality I wanted. So I decided to buy off Jungle Freak as I know the quality is there. I am happy with my Jungles and paid a fair price did not mind the freight as I got quality Jungles.

I would recommend Den also. I bought a gorgeous male pure palmerston from him last year. I paid a fair price, and I am delighted with him. I'll post those update shed pics soon too Den.

I bought a female Black & Gold "pure palmerston" from someone else earlier, only to find out after I received her, that she is Innisfail/palmerston and she has now turned lemon. And I paid the same price.
