Sorry - not in a fight to the death...
I'm tossing up whether to get a single/pair of high-yellow Diamonds, or a single/pair of black & yellow Jungles.
Or one of each
I've never kept either species. I currently own what's in my sig. below.
What are the pros & cons of each species please?
I'm in Brisbane, so no extreme temps here, and if need be, the Diamond could be housed outside, but regularly handled.
Either species easier/harder to breed further down the track?
All help appreciated.

Mmm, well Diamonds usually have much better temperaments and can be handled with ease. They get quite a lot bigger than the average Jungle but by virtue of their usually placid nature they are a easier animal all round.
Jungles being smaller take up less space but that isn't necessarily an issue.
Both have there good and bad points.
Diamonds do well outside up here.
Jungles CAN be a beautiful snake but they can be a real lottery as far as how the adult turns out, see ing the parents only gives you an idea f what they might look like and their bright colouring lasts only a short time, relatively speaking.
Of the 2 bearing in mind you are fairly new to snakes the Diamond wins easily IMO.

Both are great choices i would say.... Breeding down the track should'nt really be an issue in either one IMO. Temperament wise diamonds have a better reputation (but i've heard of 'puppy like' jungles too). Both are lovely, don't think you can make a wrong decision there mate!

The brilliant black & yellow colouring is only a short time prospect?
How long roughly?
I thought that was the adult colouration of the black/yellow Jungles?
Do the high-yellow Diamonds only stay high-yellow for a short time too?

most if not all morelia fade as they mature. jungles and diamonds being so brightly coloured imo fade more noticably. i would go for the jungles, saying that im getting a pair that nev had for sale so i may be biast even more so because im not a diamond fan.
DIAMOND
grow larger
easier to handle
need UV
larger enclosure
larger and therfor more expensive food items
less expensive animal
JUNGLE
smaller
smaller enclosure
not as larger food items
dont need UV
angry little buggers and tend to bite mostly everything, time needs to be put in to tame them (not always)
more expensive animal
P.S. my vote goes to the jungle

High yellow Diamonds tend to look good for many years but old ones still lose the really intense colouring.

Price wise, it's hard really because both vary enormously. Generally Diamonds are cheaper.

price depends on alot of variables, eg.... line, breeder, age, breeding history, friendly animals, temperament

Like I said Diamonds are usually much more placid and predictable.

Not at all, Jungles are right up there too.
