how do you tell if a juvinile pyothon is freaking out because the enclousure is to big

is that the only way to tell it is my first snake so maybe im being over cautious when i put him in he went straight in to his hide and has only come out twice in 2 days. but came out to drink

It would probably spend the same amount hiding if it was in a smaller enclosure - it's normal.

ok thks it has not been handled much either so it is probly a bit daunting i have been tond not to handle it for a week and try feeding after a week

if it dosent feed in a week should i try a smaler enclousure or give it more time??

Wow, that's huge. I have Stimmies the same age in 350 x 300 x 200mm tubs. What sort of enclosure is it? If it has any small gaps (including between glass sliding doors) it will escape. If the snake eats when you offer it food, then it is fine to leave it in that enclosure. If it refuses to eat then you will need to tranfer him to a smaller cage.

Half that size would be more than enough room for a young stimmie, a pair of hides might also make a bit of differance as well as some paper to hide under makes them feel safer. If you have problems talk to simon where you got him from, he's full of usefull information.
