I may have to build a second one too, ponybug. The five containers I have in their at the moment only just fit( the photo attached is an old one) . If I have any more animals breed next year they wont fit. The windows are great especially around hatching time.

1200mm long x 520mm wide x 560mm high. It is made of 16mm HMR( High moisture resistant) melamine. You could make it to whatever dimensions you require.
Check out www.herpshop.com.au and look under the LINKS & CARESHEET tab for an article on Reptile Egg Incubation Techniques, Brian Barnett explains how he has built it. Good article.
Hope this helps

Hmmm you know I'm going to need an incubator next year, I suppose I couldn't get one of you guys to build me one (I pay good rates) cause I'm soooooo not handy at all when it comes to woodwork or building anything!!!

Yes, I think that the slightly extra size would be better at the moment, ponybug. I will still have to build another one though.
I'm currently building new enclosures and will be over the next few of months, so no promises yet mrsshep.
If you check out the herpshop site as above and print of a copy you may be able to get someone close to you who can build it - you will have to get an electrician to do the wiring.

Gooday bigi, they are 40w incandescent globes - normal household globes.
The incubator works very little up here in Townsville, my snake room day temps at the moment are approx 32'-34', overnight 28' + which is probably why the globes last so long.
cheers Mark

you can check mine out over xmas, we might even have time to build you on when we are on holiday in march, if you get everything ready, not certain, but we can see,
i just use normal bulbs, 40 watt,
just a little hint, when not incubating eggs they are great for keeping hatchys in during winter, think about it, you have your thermastats set at 30ish, i change the bulbs to blue or red and keep my hatchys in it all winter,
i'll post pics later when i can access my photo bucket......
sorry for stealing your thread mate...............
