Lighting help!!!!

Hi guys, im setting up my new enclosure for my diamond (and a future male) The enclosure is 1200x800x500, what i wanty to know is how many heat globes should i install and what wattage, ill be using purple day/night globes, also what strength UV tube? Attached is a pic so u can get an idea of the size.

I shall be using 150w ceramic heat emitters for my diamonds and the fluro will be optional to if i use it or not. If i am going to use a fluro tube it will be a low output level say 2.5 - 5.0.

just one 150watt heat emitter per enclosure? Also do u provide heat 24hours a day or just a few hours a day??

Yes, i think it produces enough heat and you dont really want it to get too hot.

No at the moment im working them onto lower temps so only a few hours a day but its really up to you if you wish to heat them for a certain amount of time.

get a low wattage ceramic heater for night heat (on a thermostat), a mercury vapour lamp on a timer is your best combined heat/visiblelight/uv source for daytime, mount these above a basking shelf

You just want to heat a small section in the top corner up for a few hours a day.
Maybe 60/75 watt reflector with a basking shelf below that.

forgive me hoon, i forgot about this thread and my first post didnt have enough detail... get a low wattage, and please only run it for an hour or two each morning, or you will have bbq python...

I was surprised to see this thread pop up again, cheers Jack! Just looked at mercury vapour lights, they're $50 each! Hope they have a long life!
