Living in Waste..

I was just looking through some ads on reptilesdownunder and came across a Jungle which has a crap right in front of the snake in the shot now I'm sure that everyone would agree that if someone wants to sell a python they would atleast clean the enclosure which leads me to think that they guy whos selling it doesn't give two hoots about his snake.

Ah, thats only one turd, looks like a normal snake in a normal click clack after its done a normal turd....You mite wanna b careful bout dissing someone who u dont know, who possibly takes great care with his snakes....my snake looks similar to the one in the pic after doing a turd, thats wot snakes do, wen u have many snakes, u dont always find the turd straight away, but if it was me i would have done a clean up before taking a pic to sell a snake.

LOL Bugsy but I do agree with you. I certainly would check over my enclosure befre taking shots but then I have missed them myself and only seen it when looking at the photo but I guess THAT one couldn't have been that hard to see before taking the photo. But Pking at least you can see his turds look normal thus indication of a healthy snake.

yea I don't know him but the least he could do is clean the cage before a photo or If he didn't see it glaring up at him, clean it and take another photo. as you said you would clean it before the photo and personally I don't care if hes the best breeder in the world I wouldn't buy that snake of him.

Taking another look at the sellers ads, although the jungle looks ok, the ad below of the olive is a lil more concerning for me.

ah yea forgot about that one looks like urete all over the shop, I'm a little surprised to say the least that so far 2 people have sorta said its ok, I spot clean my cages everyday and disinfect them once a week and I have multiple snakes, And if I'm selling anything I'm not having a snake turd in the photo, to me that shows lack of respect for the animal.

That is absolutly disgracefull! Im pissed off i have even seen these pictures, didnt think there was people still out there like that. Clearly he just cleaned his BHP for the photo in the ad above them, anyone who owns BHPs knows how messy they can be, would hate to see how they are kept, especially if they thought the Olives cage was ok to photograph.

Unworthy of owning the animals

thats gross, i clean out poos as soon as i notice it, which isnt hard cos my poor Loki is repulsed and trying to escape.

my beardies get a bath every morning so they dont have to live in their own filth,...

i was so impressed when i picked up some geckos a while ago and they guy had heaps of snakes and hatchy racks and i didnt see a single poo anywhere.
having too many animals isnt an excuse to not clean up after them, the animals were purchased by someones own free will.
