He is 5 foot 9 inches
I just popped him on the scales, just bathroom scales so I'm not sure how accurate they are, but he weighed 2.2 kg.
As for you Matt, I won't get cranky, I value your opinion, but could you please enlighten me as to why you think that? He gets fed whenever I remember to thaw something for him, and that only happens when he is in his tree hunting. Sometimes he hunts during a shed cycle, sometimes I don't see him for a week cos he stays in his hide cave preparing for a shed. If he thinks he is capable of a feed then I'm sure he can handle it. In the wild they wouldn't have their Mummy hand feeding them, they would catch what they can, when they can.
I have fed him many times during shed cycles before without any ill effects.

i think the suggestions is that a large bulge in the belly can prevent the shed skin from progressing beyond that point, so the snake gets stuck half in and half out of the skin

I used to pull it out the freezer when my Mum came over for a laugh, she'd get upset thinking that the cute little bunny was going to be fed to the snake. | What on earth did you tell her it was for instead!!?

She knew it was for the snake, but she didn't like the idea. Once she told me to pull it out to show my grandfather and her relatives from england, I think she was really fasinated then upset.

in the wild they would not feed during the shed cycle as they would be hiding due to the fact that they cant see very well with there eyes milked over and therefore would be very susecptable to predator attacks.
cheers Matt

It's a very nice looking snake. It's hard to tell from the pics but did he eat it babckwards (feet first)? My diamond did that the other day for the first time and i totally freaked! I thought something bad could happen but it turns out heaps of people's snakes have done it before. Yours it probably just greedy like my snake.
How old is it? Has he ever bitten you?

He's 4 yrs old.
Yes he did take it feet first, I was worried about the rabbits back feet scratching him as it went down, but he was fine, and yes he is extremely greedy.
So greedy that I have been bitten once, at the start of this month. He was up in his tree and my Mum had brought my brother over to show him the snakes. I went to get Luci out, I just touched him slightly to let him know I was there before I go for the grab, but he swung around as quick as light and grabbed me, and started to constrict, but let go pretty fast. Probably realised he couldn't eat me. Obviously the first thing I said as I had blood dripping on the floor was "Quick get the camera".
It's my fault I got bitten, I usually stay away when he's in hunt mode. And when I feed him and he's taking too long to take the food I get fed up and touch him with whatever I'm offering him, and he grabs it, so I've trained him to have that reaction. I still considering him as the placid teddy bear I always have, since he didn't bite in aggression.
My step daughter used to handle him when she was just 4, and he was 2. Now she's 6, she still handles him, although he's getting to big and heavy for her to manage.
Here's some pics of the bite, the bloodied ones are a bit wierd because my husband had the camera set to night mode by accident. The bite is still visible on my arm today, but has faded alot, he bit me on the 2nd of Jan. I've also included a shot from about a couple of years ago with my step daughter handling him, just to show how placid he normally is. There is no way we'd let one of our Jungles crawl over our faces let alone hers.
