Mac in Click-Clack

How long should a hatchy mac be kept in a click clack before it goes into the real enclosure?

I've heard 12 months, depending on the growth rate of your snake.

My little fella was put into his big enclosure as soon as I got him and I just gave him HEAPS of hiding spots, and there wsn't a problem at all. He spent some time under his hot lamp then he'd go for an explore, and a hide.. Everything just fine.

I guess you could keep a Mac or Childreni in a large click clack which had hides, water branches and stuff like that for it's whole life.

Of course you would need heating and a thermostat.

Shes gonna be around 9-10 weeks when I get her, and mum would prefer straight into the enclosure (living at home)... I just want to do everything right.

Straight into the enclosure didn't bother mine. Make sure there's a definite warm spot and lots of hiding spots. Provide toilet paper rolls, hides, logs, even piles of scrunched up paper. Make him/her feel safe. That way if the enclosure is 'too big' he/she can hide away

Escape proof could be important to hahaha

I am with Phil K on this one.

I am not a fan of click clacks generally, if you have the resources to have a large enclosure

Just provide a number of hides at all thermal areas.

The beauty of large enclosures is that it is far easier to create a thermal gradient within the enclosure

Cheers

If it stops feeding put it back in the click clack for a while, IMO
