Hey guys and gals,
Just wanted to find out at about 9-10 months what feeder mouse size should a Mac be taking?
At the moment he's eating hopper mice, I tried him on pinkie rats and he wasn't interested...
Just curious as he's fed once about 7- 10 days and on about the second day he's cruising the tank constantly as if he's hungry again..
Any info/advice would be greatly appreciated

Go for something around twice the width of the snakes head.

As cris said, your food size is dependant on the snakes size.
I try and get my animals onto rats as quick as i can, and most animals will start on pinky rats rather than mice at all.
The reason yours may have refused the rat is due to the scent difference. Have seen many animals which will take a mouse but wont take a rat.
All the best

i had to convert a jungle back onto rats after i stupidly gave him some mice. Try braining the mouse and rubbing the "juice" onto the rats head and just slowly use less and less scent. Hope this helps.

Cheers for the advice guys i'll give it a go
Does everyone get them on to rats instead of mice due to pricing?? As in mice are more expensive or is it something else?
