Hey, im getting a exo terra enclosure for my 9month old mac and i was wondering what is the best way to heat it, i was thinking-
a) 8 watt heat matt for night time and a 40watt basking lamp.
b)infa red globe wired to a ministat.
c) just a 30watt heat cord wired to a ministat.
What are my other options and what should my thermostat be wired to?

it will be interesting to see replies on this one.
How big is the enclosure?
i have a stimson and use both a heat matt and 40 watt globe.
i get temperatures ranging from 22 to 32 in different areas of the enclosure.
Both heat matt and globe are on a timer and the heat globe is also through a thermostat.
my enclosure in 600x600x600

I have an exo terra with a childreni in it, he has a 12 watt heat mat, that's it, he has a hide on the heat end and a hide in the cool end, same as my maccie, same setup just a wooden enclosure, and they are both thriving,
