Thanks guys, he is about 4 - 4.5 foot. very placid, and very inquisitive. everytime i go near his enclosure he pops out to say g'day. I really love how he always follows me around, even when i get him out on the floor and outside he always follows me. (no jokes about me smelling like a big fat rat)

RE: Male Diamond Pic

I am curious, these high yellow diamonds seem to have many large round blotches extending to almost stripes, not the smaller 4 dots forming rosettes like the black ones I own.

Hence "Diamonds Python" NOT "Blotch Python"

What area do the high yellow diamonds arignally come from.

RE: Male Diamond Pic

By rights the best marked and coloured diamonds come or originate from the Gosford area and of course there are exceptions but once the markings start becoming elongated etc and not so much rosettes i think you are either entering intergrade or cross country, but Mr.K's are ridgy didgy high or mellow yellow diamonds for sure....lovely animals mate.

By the way your old black and white jungle snapped a thawed rat from my fingers last night and i was extremely happy with that!!!

RE: Male Diamond Pic

Diamonds are southern snakes.
Diamonds mean small diamond shaped markings hence the small 4 spots joined reasemblinginmg rosettes. = Diamond shaped markings.

Intergrades with coastal carpets accure around the Coffs Harbour area causing larger circular markings/stripes and not the diamond shapes = blotches.

I was lead to believe that better quality diamond pyhtons have more smaller refined markings resembling diamonds.
Not circular blocthches

Be it black or yellow diamond pythons

RE: Male Diamond Pic

I have personally seen a pure bred diamond with a dorsal stripe all the way along it's body, but, that first pic looks like a sibling to one or two of my jungles.....very interesting but it is are definitely not a purebred diamond as far as i can see and the other pics i have no comment really but they don't look pure either!!!!
