Question Md Colours And Pics

this goes out to the MD owners out there. the majority of juvis that i see (especialy in URS) are very brown and dont appeal to me at all while the silve/grey ones look awesome to my eye. is this something that is area related or age related (or just random)

does anyone have experience with them and pics to accompany (ie from juvi to adult colour transition if there is any) lots of pics =

cheers

tom

ive only ever seen 2 vic's. and they have both been at melbourne reptile warehouse. actually i have been looking in to get either a vic or just regular md and they dont seem to be as common as other pythons around. also i think they might lighten with age, dont hold me to that tho.....

thanks vat69, great photos there! hehe, the dreaded 'chat' ey. i dont think my dad knows enough or cares enough about what species i get as long as it cant kill him lol. but i aint gettin nuthin until my nan stops bein horrified of em.....maybe a little trickier to overcome hehe. right, schoolies, i gotta organise that sumtime, lots of ppl seem to be gettin in very early. cost of schoolies depends on where ur goin! if ur flyin up the coast then it will take a bit out of ya pocket!

hehe. they do look pretty darn good if u ask me, i dont know y they are labelled as bland. the silver shene i c in pics looks amazing to me. just to make sure, ur pics say that most hatchies are dark but tend to lighten up a lot as adults with the exception of a brown tinge or a few light brown scales..? thanks again

Yep, babies are always darker/brown (in my experience) and then colour up (lighten) with age. There's no sure-fire way of knowing how light/silver they'll go though. Unless you've got a different locale and they colour up redder etc. of course
The hatchie in that pic is my hold back from last season so I'll be interested to see how she colours up.

And yeah MD's are totally underrated if you ask me. There's a few of us on the site who champion inlands actually heh. We should start a club

Glad you like them, I think they're stunners
