Hey just a quick question about the Morelia genus. Do all the carpets (namely: mcdowelli, spilota spilota, bredli) get heavy-set bodies as adults? I've noticed that waters, olives, BHPs etc get long but not 'fat' whereas alot of the pictures (particularly of bredlis) I've seen have fairly heavy, thick set bodies.

They all get moderately thick. Why would you say Olive's aren't thick?

That could have been a mistake haha, just some of the pictures I've seen they don't seem to be as thick as say, a Bredli

Maybe the length makes them look thinner.

I think from the pictures you could get the impression that there not that thick becaus they are so long in comparison.

That's probably it. Does feeding a snake more influence it's 'fatness'? Fatness as in body thickness, not actual fat

Olives tend not to get really heavy bodies until they are around the 8ft mark from what i have noticed. And you don't see too many people posting pics of adult olives so perhaps this is why you thought they were not as heavy set. But i would say that the length to girth ratio of a bredli outdoes that of an olive although olives outdo bredli in length by several feet.

Yeah Bredli seem to be fairly heavyset. So this is more prominent if they are fed more?

Definately. Females seem to be heavier bodied than males too.
