lismore was fine, Alot of people I know who left saying bad things about it as they went are coming back. I miss being twenty minutes from the beach. being in brisbane means an hour+ drive. No fishing up here either.

lismore is cool! though i also was fond of bermague(amazingly bad spelling). lismore has some awsome fishing!!!!!!

my setup is slightly different, i got a tub! its all setup to with a warm and cold side(cold side was at 15'C this morning i found out my window was open, that won't be happening again!)

megz you must post pics the moment you get your bredli and i will be sure to do the same!

Sackra,- leave the window open 15 degrees in cold end this time of year a good thing, remember hes always got the warm spot. But youll be amazed, as long as you dont feed to much, how much time he will spend in the cold end if you let him.

ok problem is when its 15'c on the cold spot it gets down to 28-29'C on the warm spot. i am considering placing a towl underneath the warm spot to increase insulation.

Just put down at least 6-10 layers of paper, he will be able to get underneath the paper above warm spot and get as warm as he wants by the length of time he spends on it. It enables him to have many variations, ie- on warm spot, half on half off, close by, down the far end, etc. Paper is excelent insulation if you use enough and it will trap the heat above the heat source very effectively while leaving the cold end room temp.

g'day all
well i now have the pleasure of keeping a snake!!! picked him up at 4:40 this arvo.. and he is now curled up in a light box hide.. feisty little fella.. struck at me while he was still in the bag.. so i decided it would be best to just put him in his enclosure... well heres what you've all been waiting for....

i'll have a lot more photo's in a day or two... thought i had better give the little guy a rest n time to get use to his new surroundings...

he darling, me may be snappy now but will calm down. At this size a bite is a shock but barely can break the skin (that's if they even open their mouth). I got bitten about a dozen times calming down my first two and they would have been much bigger. Good luck and have fun.

awsome hes a beauty! also rob i insulated underneath the cold spot on the tub and opened up the window. temp stayed good. also i have a 3ft x 18" x 18" tank sitting in the garage and i have no idea when i will be getting around to turning it into a reef. would that be more preferable than the tub? probably make it the same style as megz.

can't wait to get mine!

You won't get bitten if careful my most recent spotted is still jumpy but hasn't gotten me yet just keeping my hand outside of their strike range and moving my hand from either underneath the animal of behind it has worked well so far (touch wood).
