My Credit Card was just billed $59.95...

From the EPA licencing schedule of fees:
Recreational wildlife licence for animals - standard fee: $54.05
Record book for other licences - for a book with 20 pages: $5.90
Total: $59.95

Yeeeeeeeeeeeah! My licence should be in the mail! It only took.. 6 days for the EPA to bill me. I guess we'll see how long it takes for them to get to the post office

Excited? Maybe a little.

It took about 2 weeks for mine turn up down here. Shouldn't take that long up there I reckon.

So what are planning on getting?

Hehe. Not bad huh? It's actually long exposure pic of a collection of inflated plastic shopping bags, illuminated by an LED torch. This was shot for a timelapse video which I haven't gotten around to rendering out

... My flatmates were only a little freaked out when they woke up in the morning to find this monstrosity attached to a doorframe. I think I've conditioned them to living with a video artist

I've been talking to Sharyn of Just Reptiles (in Ipswich) about a 7 month old Stimsoni.

Whoo! Going to check the mailbox now

Congratulations Jaymis You do realise herps are like Pringles? (oh this is such a rubbish analogy but it works)...once you pop you can't stop

Yeah, so I've noticed from the addicts on this site

My housemate (who is returning from a year overseas) used to keep herps so I think he's going to get one (or more) as well relatively soon. I work from home and am quite sedentary, so I think pythons may be perfect companions for me.

Fantastic! I was hoping by revealing my sources I'd have someone like you Chanty telling me that they're great people. I was impressed that their pythons come with a vet check and plastic enclosure, and Sharyn has been very helpful via email.

Cheers.

My licence didn't arrive on Friday The transaction details have come up on my netbanking now though and it's definitely from the EPA. So I guess Monday might be the day. I'd really hoped to be able to visit Just Reptiles this weekend and take the girly along.

Aah well, I guess I'm learning some patience for when I get my python home and have to let it settle in before bugging it

I doubt their office working form filling types would be working on the weekend, and mail doesn't get picked up over the weekend anyway. I'm hoping mine was posted on Thursday so I should hopefully receive it tomorrow. Unless someone from the EPA is reading the site and torturing me
