Hey Guys,
Ive got a diamond python hes a little bubby and growing pretty quickly. now i have an issue and he has an issue. My issue is he has an issue with me! i think, anyway the point is he is very scared of me or anyone that comes to him or tries to pick him up
He knows me and comes up to me when i come close to the enclosure, but if i want to pic him up or anything he hisses sometimes or if i touch him he runs away real quickly.
If i somehow manage to hold him he will wrap himself really tight around my fingers, if i uncurl him he seems to relax n goes exploring upstairs.
I need a snake whisperer. as i am afraid when he gets bigger he will eat me |

I dont actually think his hissing at you, it might just be him breathing or maybe (prob not) a RI.
If he starts going away just grab him, normally snakes wont just slither onto your hands |

what you need to do is day by day try interacting with him mroe and mroe. your so big compared to him and he's just scared.
the more you handle him the more he will get used to you.

Most snakes will come up to you because they think they are going to be fed. My Diamond and my Coastals normally hiss and try to get away when being picked up, as snakes do not like being handled. If you have to pick it up either use a hook as this is not as stressful or else just do it very quickly with no hesitation.
He is trying to scare you off with the hissing, and the fact that he is doing this instead of striking is a good thing. A hiss is nothing to be afraid of, and I would much prefer this than having him strike every time you pick him up.
This is all normal behaviour.

I can tell most of the time he wants to come out he comes up to the glass and trys to push it acrross.
