They will sit in strike position for quite a while watching, when they get in the bowl they leave their mouth open like a catchers net and almost twist themselves in knots trying to find it lol. Once they get the fish though it's over in seconds and no constriction is needed. Danny unfortunately no he wasn't a breeder, these guys are actually five years old so hopefully if I get things just right they may breed for me Vixen not sure on that one I did ask that question myself as well also wanted to alternate things but a few trusted breeders have since told me it's not so much a health issue more of an inconvenience for me having to get goldfish all the time...I will be slowly trying to convert them onto small mice and maybe quails but it's not something I am overly stressed about...
