They are about 2 years old. Either of them wont eat rats but they love their mice. So they have been eating 6 each. The girl is a bit funny with her eating habbits though. She will tend to eat only 2 today, then 2 in 2 days time, than another 2 in a few more days time.

The female is really placid and great to handle. The male is a little flighty but I have only just got him, so ill slowly work on his temperament.

i had a snake like that, first time he took a rat, i chucked a weaner rat in the bag with the mouse to defrost and fed the mouse and then followed with the rat. luckily enough he took it and has been on rats ever since. very nice Darwin though thanks for sharing the pics

Great Idea Helikaon, Ill definately try that. Can only be worth a shot. I dont mind so much at the moment, as the mice supply is quite large but the rat supply is decreasing rapidly with my male bredli and black head.

ahh yes that is the problem these days, isnt it. i am lucky enough to breed my own rats and mice. i have a colony of about 20 breeding females and have about half of them on bubs so about 100 bubs all up so if you only have a few snakes you might find it worth it to breed a small colony.

cheers
H.

awesome lol yeah my mice annoy me so only have like 10 females breeding. with that amount of mice you would have no problem keeping those darwins happy and well fed.
