G'day everyone
Im only new to this site and a new snake owner. Ive had my Murray Darling now for about 12months. Every thing is going just fine (eating and handles very well). I was told the other day that they become aggresive at about 3yrs old. Is this true :

If they are agressive it is as hatchlings and they calm down as they get older. Murray darling was a good choice for a first snake. By the way welcome lol
Cheers Stevo

You normally know by about six months if your snake is going to be aggressive or not. Of course there are exceptions.

Snakes almost always get tamer with age, even without any handling. I've seen a couple of snakes get snappy at about one year after being tame until then, but that's extremely unusual. I've never heard of a snake spontaneously becoming nasty at three years and wouldn't expect it to happen in any more than one in a million snakes.

It's really strange that everyone expects snakes to bite and often seem really suprised if they don't. Most snakes that are either captive bred or have been handled a little are very tame, it's normal not unusual.

Some do Bry, my murrays have always been placid, i got them straight from the egg.
It's not unusal for a snake to be placid it's whole life and vice versa.
