Talking My new assignment

Hey all

Well, my aunty is getting new carpet layed and she was going to get rid of her old wall unit if no one took it .
So I jumped at the chance, but now I'm having to come up with ideas on what enclosures to build and what to put in it.?

I would like some opinions on what you guys would make out of this huge wall unit.

As you can see, its mostly already the right sizes and I'd only have to adjust a few things in it... I have come up so far with

Big space- Aboreal snake
Two spaces- terestrial snakes (anterisa group or small woma/blackheaded)
Bottom left hand corner- could make it into a hatchling rack
Cupboard-left side door broken, I could make that into another hatchling rack. Right side could be storage.?

but would love some more opinions

Thanks in advance

Trouble

Kinda agree with what Bonustokin is saying. The top section is probably 250mm deep. A little narrow maybe? I know I rejected a similar plan on a 300mm deep bookcase because I felt it was to narrow. But each to their own.

Most of those wall cabinets are narrow like that, you definitely need some more depth.

310mm deep x 870mm wide x 910mm high

what would be your ideas on what I could put in there? could I make it wider at all?

The 2 top right could be set up for Childrens, spotteds, Stimmies, maybe a jungle, or a Bearded Dragon if you want to go lizards..
The taller top left, could house a Green Tree Snake, or even a Frilled Neck as there is plenty of room for cilmbing branches.
You could also remove the shelf top right and have 2 high enclosures up top.
The bottom part , I would make into one big enclosure, take out the doors and dividers but put some supports in (to support the weight above). This section could house anything from a Bredli, Diamond, Carpet or Olive ect, as its wider.
Make up a few differant designs, Put heaps of thought what you want to keep in it b4 you start. then go for it.
I could have heaps of fun with something like that. Keep us posted.
Cheers Andy.

do you like geckos? and small skinks and dragons? becasue its so small maybe you could make lots of shelves in it and then it would become a gecko breeding theng, and if you got bored wit hgeckos, then you could sell it to a gecko breeder and (s)he would have a bit of fun LOL. you might be able to get a little childrens python or anything from the Antaresia group but yea i agree, its not that wide!

Luke
