No i got him from Bunerong Aquarium in Frankston. The logs are 2 halves of 1 (thought it would be easier to clean if they were halved). It has been in our front garden since we moved in, were about to toss it when we decided to get a snake, so glad we kept it tho.

I know, i saw your thread earlier today. Yours is such a stunning colour, do you know his origin? What have you called him? Mine drinks heaps too!!! First thing he did when i put him in tank was sit and drink for ages, and he has been back several times, not always drinking, sometimes just has his head under water. So cute Are you totally hooked and making plans for any additions already? Do you plan to breed eventually? Would love to see more pics of yours when you have some!

Nah, quite honestly i only like snakes that look venomous, not the typical python head. Dunno just a preference i guess. BHP was first choice only having class 1 licence, other snakes i like are the marsh snakes, and the common tree snakes, there isnt very many of those for sale. So ill stick with my BHP for a while.
Yes, i decided to name him 'Dagger', as i was tossing up between dagger and sniper, but i have noticed he isnt much of a sharp-shooter. Ha ha! So dagger it is. That way it sound good when said with my shingleback, who's name is Derzer, so its now Derzer and Dagger.
Ill dig up some piks for you, although he hates the flash so i havnt got many...

Thats interesting, mine couldnt care less when i took his photo, even with flash. Its funny when my sister first saw him her first question was "are you sure it isnt venomous ?" They do look like maybe they could be dangerous. Did you see the thread a few weeks ago, photo of what looked like BHP but was infact a western brown snake? They looked so similar!!!!

Cool hey, i read that thread too about the western brown. Thats why i love the BHP, no one is game to touch him. Makes me feel like im hardcore. Ha ha ha.
Anyways i found some piks, kinda bad but hey, the body pik is close to real size.

Great photo's I love Aspidites,
I guess the real trick to a good line is producing stong colours into adulthood as once mature their colours tend to wash out a bit.

Nice photos, he has such striking colours. Every1 wants to hold mine, but trying to leave him alone to settle in. How long was it before yours started feeding once you got him home?
