Finally I have brought home my first snake! He's an absolute psycho so I have only taken one photo. I'm going to leave him be for a while then feed him as he hasn't been fed in a while. Don't think there should be a problem as he seems quite ready to eat my fingers.

i had one once that actually tried eating my fingers.
It would bite, then coil, then strangle, then begin to unhinge the jaw on your finger. Never knew why they called them children's pythons...

Well he's actually not interested in feeding. Happy to snap at the food but won't grab it. I've brained the mouse, should I leave it in there for a bit or just try again in a few days when he's settled into his new home? (I'm feeding him in the tub he's been in for the last 6 mths but he's living in a new one.)

They are named as such because they were found by the English Naturist JG Children. But anyhoo nice looking snake, mine are breeding now but I'm not expecting patterns like that, hope he keeps them when he's older.

wow.. you and I must have brother and sister. I brought my first snake home this week, it is a chidreni... and she would take my head off if she could lol. They even look the same!!!!!... mine will grab the pinkie, wrap the pink then toss it and go for me  .. I'm leaving her for a little longer also till she settles down a bit. Good luck with yours too,

Make sure you let us know how you go with him | Haha maybe! He's one of Neil Sonnemann's. My little guy just snapped at the mouse, the tongs, and my hand, but I think he was too stressed to want to actually eat.

wow lol. when i got my coastal i left him entirely alone for a whole week except changing his water, and when i offered the weaner rat he gulped it down like a psycho!!  i love george! and glad to hear you finally got your little baby! what did you name him/her?
