My new Spotted

Hi There Guys
As you guys know i recently lost my chilreni to a crow.
last night i bought home my new baby, a spotted python and it is just gorgeous. I haven't named it yet, will do soon.
DON"T WORRY I won't be making the same mistake again. I have learn't my lesson. Oh yeah how long do snakes sleep for and in strange positions might i add.

Beautiful baby! Congratulations on your new addition, our spotted is the apple of my eye (even tho it's my partners and mine is the coastal), he is such a sweetheart, and quite the sock puppet to look at
Enjoy!

Good looking snake. They should tend to sleep most of the day, well mine do anyway and only stir if I open the enclosure.

The skin didn't feel much different to me. He has only snapped a couple of times once when i woke him up and went for my two year old as he walked passed when i was holding it yesterday. My two year old is always peering in the window so i guess he don't like him yet. Other than that he is quite a good snake. He now has stopped using the hide and sleeps on top of it or anything else in the enclosure. I'm addicted to this, i'm picking up abredli in a few weeks time too

Its a 2ft enclosure with 3 different hide type of things and two artificial trees. I have a infrared light where the temp down that ends sits on 30 degrees. When i said he lies on top i mean he still hides but it seems like he has really settled in. He sleeps some funny ways and i've heard of other spotteds sleeping the same way too. He's a gorgeous little baby.xxxxx
